Christmas Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Kids

So, you’ve purchased all the large gifts that you’ll be giving your kids. There’s no time to rest yet, though – you still need to figure out what you’re going to put in their stockings! Sure, these stocking stuffers aren’t coveted like the latest toy trends would be. But they’re still quite a lot of fun!

There are a few approaches that you can take when selecting stocking stuffers. Here are some of my favorites:

Choose a Theme

When it comes to stuffing the perfect Christmas stocking, choosing a great theme can make it even more fun! For instance, if your child loves a certain comic book, toy, or movie, try finding small gifts that relate to that. For instance, Lego fans would love a stocking filled with small Lego sets. The same is true if your child has a special hobby, such as arts and crafts or a love of a certain sport.

Stuff it With Candy

You don’t need to stuff the stocking with toys if you don’t want. One of the easiest (and least expensive) ways to stuff a Christmas stocking for kids is to fill it with candy! If your child has a favorite candy, simply fill it with that. You can also buy an assortment of Christmas-themed candy, which will make the stocking seem extra festive.

Money or Gift Cards

If your kids are a little older, you might want to consider putting money or gift cards in their stockings. To make unwrapping the gifts even more fun, place the money or gift cards into small boxes and wrap them up. This is perfect for the child who would much rather pick out his or her own gifts!

As you can see, there are plenty of great options for filling up a child’s Christmas stocking. In the end, you will want to choose the option that they’ll enjoy the most. For your convenience, I’ve chosen some of my favorite all-time stocking stuffers for kids:
