Christmas Planning Tips: Find Your Wrapping Supplies
Posted by on November 23, 2009
Do you keep buying new wrapping paper, Christmas cards, and other Christmas supplies new each year? Well before you do that, you should see what you have leftover from last year. If you’re organized this should be no problem. In fact, you may already know what you have.
But if you’re like me, things might be all over the place. I know I have tissue paper in a different spot from my tape which is in a different place from the wrapping paper… well you get the picture. It’s a mess. When it comes time to wrap Christmas gifts, I get a little nervous because I’m never sure where everything will be.
Well id you know where everything is, go take a look at what you have and make a list of all the supplies. If you don’t know where everything is, go find it, put it in a pretty storage box, and then take inventory. You need to know where everything is for when you start Christmas shopping. The goal will be to shop and come directly home to wrap the present.
And while you’re at it, find those leftover Christmas cards. I’m a big fan of those boxed cards because they never seem to go out of style. They have a simple message and then I write a personalized message in each card I send. Now would be the time to find those cards, find your list of card recipients, and get to work.
Let’s recap.
- Find all Christmas wrapping paper, tissue paper, and other wrapping supplies and put them all in one spot. Take inventory and start to buy the things you need more of as they go on sale.
- Look for your Christmas cards from last year and your card recipient list. If you don’t have a list, make one. Start writing your cards out. Set a goal to write out one or two a day.
See, isn’t getting organized for Christmas fun?
Merry Christmas!
