Christmas Gift Idea: Canon Powershot SD500

Digital cameras make great Christmas gifts especially now that they’ve gone down in price and the picture quality they take is outstanding. Gone are the days when you need to tote around multiple rolls of film in order to take pictures of anything. Digital cameras are convenient, compact, and easy to use.

The Canon Powershot SD500 is one of the best on the market. Users on Amazon.com (over 150 of them) rated the camera with a very high 4 Star rating. They were pleased with the camera and you will be too – especially if you simply want a sleek camera that will take a wide variety of photos in several different situations.

An extra bonus is that this camera also has a movie mode which comes in handy for capturing certain moments. For example, I used my movie mode this past year at the Old Faithful Geyser. I knew a picture wouldn’t quite capture just how amazing the site really was.
