It’s coming up on crunch time. Christmas shopping begins soon! It’s exciting but it can also be frustrating. Finding the right gifts for the people on your list can be stressful. So can malls.

I’m a big believer in getting someone eco friendly gifts for Christmas. And lately, there is has been an upsurge in respect bestowed upon green clothing designers. For example, in the last season of Project Runway, an eco friendly designer actually won the whole competition!

I like the idea of sending Christmas postcards instead of Christmas cards. I know that other people do too because there is a nice selection of lovely postcards out there. So why would you want to send postcards instead of cards? I thought I’d list the pros of the idea so you can make a choice if you want to send them.

Each year, we look forward to choosing our Christmas cards. I usually buy a few different styles or a variety set and then choose individual cards for those who are closest to me like my husband, best friends, and my parents. What is your Christmas card style?

Okay, I love candy canes and snowmen and other Christmas trees and other merry symbols of Christmas… but without Jesus Christ being born we wouldn’t even have this holiday. Why not celebrate that idea with Christian Christmas cards? I find that there is no better way to remind people that we are celebrating Christ’s birth than to send them a religious Christmas card.

I’m a big believer in eco friendly gifts. I find that bamboo kitchen utensils sets are a great gift idea. I think bamboo is an even better material for kitchen utensils than wood because it doesn’t nick as easily. It is also highly eco friendly because the bamboo plant doesn’t get cut down. I thought the Avatar movie had it all – romance, great story, cultural commentaries. Plus, I absolutely loved the graphics. I know there are people on your list who love this movie too. Do they have the DVD yet? If not, you should consider getting it for them.

Before you think I’m crazy for suggesting that you give someone sunglasses for Christmas let me just say that I’ve hiked in snow and gotten sunburned on my eyelids. It isn’t fun, and it can be avoided with the right pair of sunglasses. Plus, what do people seem to always need an extra pair of? Sunglasses!

Are you looking for a unique gift to give someone who loves animal prints? Why not get them some animal print car accessories? Animal prints are fun – but for me only if they are faux. And, even though I don’t like wearing animal prints I like to decorate with them.
